A quiet person with a very busy mind…

Joy Santos, an Online Business Manager, Digital Project Manager, Operations Manager, and Business Analyst student working as a digital nomad from the Philippines.

I’m Joy! Some of my favorite days are spent somewhere outdoors with my boys, exploring a new place or finding a spot where we can sit and enjoy the view. They’re my world, and there’s so much of it I want to discover with them.

I love the mountains, the sound of nature, and having room to slow down. I’m an introvert, but I’m also the person who can talk for hours once we land on the right subject. A good book. A show we both love. Health, psychology, business, or something fascinating I heard on a podcast.

Then there’s my curiosity, which rarely takes a day off. Tech, AI, neuroscience, how the body and mind works. I get absorbed in understanding things. One question leads to another, and suddenly I’m learning something I hadn’t planned to learn that day!

That’s a big part of who I am…happy in a quiet home, always finding something new to explore, and happiest sharing life with my boys.

Four boys standing in a line on the sandy beach near the ocean, wearing matching blue shirts, with the waves and blue sky in the background.

I built a career out of figuring things out on my own!

I’ve worked in operations since 2017. Over the years, I became the person people came to when something wasn’t working. I wanted to understand why it kept happening and what would make it work better.

A lot of that figuring out happened at a simple desktop in my cozy home in the Philippines. Coffee nearby, something new to learn, and a problem I wanted to solve. That’s where much of my career grew, through self study and putting what I learned into practice.

Today, I build the systems that connect a business’s tools, people, and processes. I’m taking that work further into systems architecture, AI, and automation, while deepening the business analysis and business management knowledge behind it. Understanding the business comes first. The technology follows.

My goal is to make a business run like a well-oiled machine…

Fewer things to chase, less work repeated, and a team that knows what happens next. I want the people running it to have time to step away and enjoy the lives they’re working so hard to build.
